Welcome to the World of Frette
Ever since its beginnings in the 1860's, Frette has supplied linens to luxury hotels throughout the world. The first clients were historical Italian establishments like the famous Danieli in Venice and the stunning Belle Venise. Over the years other famous hotels and resorts throughout Europe started dressing their rooms and restaurants in crisp Frette linens. Soon, landmarks like the Ritz in Paris and the Savoy in London joined Frette's customer roster, as did the famous Orient Express.
Gradually, Frette moved across the ocean to appear in key establishments in the United States, including the Plaza and the Pierre in New York. A large number of discerning customers tried the beauty and pleasure of sleeping on crisp Frette sheets and soon the company was submerged by requests for people looking for the linens they had enjoyed in the most famous hotels across the globe.
That is how the Frette Hotel Collection was born, the world's first ever hotel line. In the 1980's, the company created a range of crisp Egyptian cotton percale bed linen with two lines of embroidered piping, replicating a product originally born for luxury hotels. The quality, beauty and simplicity of these original items were soon to be imitated world over, creating a new direction in linens design.
